Collection: ROWAC

The three-legged ROWAC stool makes a comeback as a design classic. Faithfully reproduced and manufactured in its original region, it offers the same qualities as over 100 years ago: clear form, functional construction, and a design built to last. A Bauhaus stool with cult status – not as a replica, but as an honest continuation.

ROWAC itself was founded in 1888 in Chemnitz, in the midst of industrialization. The "Saxon Manchester" was characterized by mechanical engineering, textile industry, and artisanal ingenuity. Here, trained locksmith Karl Robert Wagner founded his hardware factory.

In 1909, the decisive step followed: With Model I, ROWAC developed the world's first riveted seating furniture made of lightweight steel strip. The stool found its way into workshops, factories, and even to the Bauhaus in Weimar, Dessau, and Berlin – becoming the benchmark for industrial seating.

With the brand's new appearance, those technically sophisticated details that stood for functionality and durability back then are continued. ROWAC sees its mission as preserving this industrial cultural heritage and passing it on to future generations.
