In 1909, the world's first seating furniture made of riveted steel strips was launched. Due to its durability and functionalist design, the Rowac stool was chosen for all factories and schools, including the Bauhaus. Now, over 100 years later, this icon of industrialization is faithfully handcrafted in the Erzgebirge region.
Walter Gropius chose the beech / glossy black version for the Bauhaus.

Seat plate: PEFC-certified wood, treated with hard wax oil (wood is a natural material, grain and color vary - each seat plate is therefore unique.)
