Collection: VETRA
The name Vetra is an abbreviation of VETements de TRAvail (which would have been "WW" in English). The use of two syllables makes the brand name VETRA easy to remember.
The logo's color has changed over time. After a period dominated by black and dark colors, fabrics made from cotton-linen blends and pure cotton in the typical French Hydrone blue became prevalent from the 1950s onward. The VETRA logo was changed to a corresponding blue to symbolize this shift. It then became even brighter and more vibrant when Bugatti blue became popular in the 1970s, while at the same time a gold VETRA logo was embroidered on the collection's most iconic and highest-quality products.
VETRA's mottos have always emphasized the high quality of the products and the good fit of the garments: VETRA lasts forever.
